What Overtake knows about you, in plain words. No hidden clauses: if something is not written here, we do not do it.

  1. 1

    Who answers for this

Overtake is run by Giuseppe Nesca, a private individual, not a company. Anything about your data — a question, a correction, a deletion — goes to hello@getovertake.com and is answered by a person.

  2. 2

    The account

An account exists only after a paid listing. If you sign in with Google we receive your name, your email address and your profile picture — nothing else, and never your password. If you sign in with a company email we receive that address. You then add your website link and a description of what you do: those are public, because they are your advert.

  3. 3

    Payments

Card details never reach our servers: the payment happens on Stripe, and Stripe is the one who handles them. What comes back to us is a payment reference, the amount, the date and the listing it belongs to. We keep that because it is the proof that a place on the board was paid for.

  4. 4

    Supports in the Arena

When you support a fighter we record which side you chose, the figure you clicked, and an anonymous identifier that lives in your browser — no name, no email address. The money does not pass through us: you pay the company on its own page, and what happens there is between you and them. The identifier exists so that one browser cannot vote a hundred times.

  5. 5

    What stays in your browser

Language, light or dark theme, the anonymous identifier above, and the references of the payments you made, so the site can hand you your own listing. It stays on your device. There is no advertising cookie on this site, no tracking pixel and no analytics company watching you: we did not install any.

  6. 6

    Server logs

Like every website, the server writes down what was requested, when, from which internet address and with which browser. It is how you notice an attack or a broken page. Those lines are kept for a short time and are not used to build a profile of anyone.

  7. 7

    Who else sees it

Stripe, for payments. Google, only if you choose to sign in with Google. Whoever hosts the server, and whoever sends the verification email. Nobody else. We do not sell data, we do not hand it to advertising networks, and we do not send it anywhere it is not needed to make the site work. Stripe and Google may process data outside the European Union, under the standard contractual clauses of European law.

  8. 8

    How long we keep it

The account and the listing for as long as the account exists — you can delete it yourself, and everything personal goes with it. The record of a payment for as long as the law obliges us to be able to prove it. Supports for as long as the fight and its result are shown. Logs for a few weeks.

  9. 9

    What you can ask for

A copy of what we hold, a correction, a deletion, or simply that we stop. Write to hello@getovertake.com: no form to fill in, no fee, and an answer within thirty days. If the answer does not satisfy you, you can complain to the data protection authority of your country — in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

  10. 10

    Not for minors

Overtake sells advertising to companies. It is not built for anyone under eighteen, and we do not knowingly keep data about them.

  11. 11

    If this page changes

The date at the top of it changes too. If a change matters — a new piece of data, a new recipient — we say so on the board instead of hoping nobody reads.
